Realme is currently India’s one of the most favourite smartphone brands. Realme is making good on its promise to deliver a 5G handset. The Realme 5G smartphone will be first unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 – that should take place around February next year, 2020.

The company recently confirmed it would be brining a 5G device as early as 2020. The upcoming 5G enabled Realme handset will be powered by a 5G Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series mobile platform.

The company will be expanding aggressively in the next few months with some top-level smartphones including entry-premium flagships. Realme 5G Smartphone in India

Realme is launching the Realme X2 Pro — the first flagship from the company — and the affordable Realme 5s in India today. At the beginning of the Realme India launch event today the company CEO Madhav Sheth announced Realme’s 2020 plan for India. Sheth said that Realme will be among the first brands to bring a 5G phone in India in 2020. With this announcement, Realme becomes one of the first smartphone companies to talk about bringing a 5G smartphone to India.

Realme also confirmed the new 5G Snapdragon SoC powering its phone would provide support for the next-gen Qualcomm AI Engine and Qualcomm Elite Gaming features. Back in June, Sheth revealed that there are plans to bring 5G smartphones before the year ends. However, Qualcomm’s upcoming mid-range 5G chipsets won’t be here until 2020.
Sheth also confirms that this 5G phone will be first unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2020 — that should take place around February next year. Soon after the 5G phone — the name is yet to be revealed — is said to make it to India. Sheth confirms that the this smartphone will come integrated with Qualcomm processor. Xiaomi is said to be working with MediaTek to launch the Redmi K30 with 5G support next month in China.

Several smartphone companies are working on 5G phones to launch next year. Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be launching the Redmi K30 with dual 5G mode in December this year. The Redmi K30 Pro will come later next year. Previously Xiaomi confirmed that it will launch around 10 5G phones next year. The company also said that all phones priced above 2000yuan will come with 5G support.
Not just Realme and Redmi, other smartphone companies like Samsung, Huawei, and OnePlus are working on a 5G smartphone as well. OnePlus has confirmed that the company’s focus for 2020 will be 5G.
In India today Realme is launching the Realme X2 Pro that will take on the likes of Redmi K20 Pro. The company is also announcing the Realme 5 successor aka Realme 5s, which is going to be an affordable phone. Similar to the Realme 5 the upcoming Realme 5s is also expected to be an under Rs 10,000 smartphone.
